Care guide
Stoneware fired to 1260° is tough. A few habits keep the glaze bright for decades.
Everyday use
Everything in the shop is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. Microwaves are fine too, though unglazed foot rings get hot: use a cloth. Avoid sudden temperature shocks, like a cold bowl straight into a hot oven.
Marks and stains
Cutlery can leave grey lines on matte glazes. A paste of baking soda and water, rubbed gently, lifts them. Tea and coffee stains come out with a soak in warm water and a little washing soda.
Unglazed surfaces
Bare stoneware, like the outside of the tumblers, darkens slightly with use and oils from your hands. That is the piece ageing, not a fault. Keep it out of standing water for long periods and it will stay even.
